My journey here is a long and winding road. I have degrees and education in multiple disciplines such as Criminal Justice, Medical Legal Death Investigation, Narcotic Trafficking Awareness, Nondestructive EngineeringTechnology , Radiation Safety ,and healthcare certifications. Whewww   Now I am here . In the past I have assisted and attended to family and other members of my community during the birth of their babies . A few years ago I found out what I was doing was called being a Doula !!!!! After finally taking the time out, I was formally trained in New Orleans , La by SistaMidwives. I am also a member of the National Black Doula Association . I love all mothers and babies !!! I am an avid social justice advocate and birth justice advocate in my community . I am also a generational minister spiritualism , traiteur (healer), and traditional herbalist . I am currently awaiting a summer birth due 6/29/2018. It is a girl and I am as excited as the Mom .
